What contributes to ‘clogged’ arteries to the heart, saturated fat or cholesterol?

Many foods аrе vegetable based ѕο although tһеу mау һаνе high saturated fаt content tһеу don’t contain trans fаt аחԁ/οr cholesterol, саח tһеѕе food bе a contributor tο heart disease?

    Hi,

I have been reading a book called Dr. Barnard’s Program for Reversing Diabetes. In the book, the Dr. writes that to much animal fat in a diet leads to the blood being more viscous, and then this leads to higher blood pressure.

Also if the blood is not properly hydrated, then you can have high blood pressure. The linings of the veins also can be restricted, so overall high fats, and high cholesterol are bad things.

If you follow his diet plan, your cholesterol should drip significantly in about 3-6 months. This has happened to other test patients, even those that did not want to exercise in the beginning of their diet change, due ot being overweight and out of control high blood sugars (that make you sleepy and lazy) but after 4 months they wanted to exercise more.

This video shows how blood looks before it is hydrated properly, and after drinking some alkaline water.

dietary cholesterol is not the same thing as HDL or LDL. What ever you do not consume, in your diet, your body just makes up the difference. Cholesterol maybe THE most important compound in the body. Cholesterol is found in every cell in your body and is a starting point for most hormones. Saturated fat is the stable, natural, healthy fat. Vegetable oils are unstable, create free radicals, and over load your body with omega 6.

Neither saturated fat or cholesterol contribute to “clogged” arteries. Too much sugar in the diet does, however.

Animal fats do not thicken the blood. Only someone ignorant of blood chemistry would make a claim. Dehydration will cause blood to thicken.

True or false – Animal fat contains primarily saturated fat?
Beef fat is approximately 44% saturated and 44% monounsaturated.
    Pork fat is primarily monounsaturated.

Clogged arteries are caused by inflammatory processes. Small, dense LDL particles enter the walls of arteries and cause inflammation. Small, dense LDL particles are increased on a high carbohydrate diet. Eating saturated fat drastically reduces the number small, dense LDL particles.
